A precision brass leather edge oil roller that applies dye and edge finish evenly, cleanly, and without waste. Designed for leathercrafters who want a professional result on every project: no drips, no blotching, no mess.

The Problem It Solves

Applying leather edge oil with cotton swabs or a basic pen is slow, uneven, and wasteful. You end up using too much product, getting bleed onto the face of the leather, and spending time fixing mistakes. This brass roller box changes that entirely.
The knurled roller picks up a controlled amount of oil from the reservoir and deposits it evenly along the leather edge as you glide it forward. The result is a smooth, professional arc, the kind that takes experienced leatherworkers years of practice to achieve freehand.

What's Included

1 x Brass leather edge oil roller box with built-in oil reservoir (holds up to 15ml)
2 x Interchangeable brass rollers: one fine-knurled and one plain, so you can switch depending on oil viscosity and leather thickness

Key Features

Solid brass construction
The entire tool is machined from brass: not plastic, not plated steel. Brass is naturally resistant to corrosion, doesn't react with edge oils or dyes, and is heavy enough to sit steadily on your leather without slipping. This is a tool built to outlast dozens of jobs.

Two rollers for different oils

The kit includes a fine-knurled (textured) roller and a smooth roller. The knurled roller grips thicker, more viscous edge oils and pulls them up from the reservoir consistently. The smooth roller works better with thinner, more fluid dyes. Switch between them in seconds with no tools required.

Built-in 15ml reservoir

The brass body has a recessed well that holds approximately 15ml of edge oil at one time, enough for a full leatherworking session without constant refilling. A small amount goes a long way, because the roller dispenses only what's needed. You'll save a significant amount of oil versus dipping a swab or pen.

Adjustable oil flow

A unique regulator on the roller shaft controls how much oil surfaces onto the roller face. Turn it to increase flow for drier conditions or reduce it to prevent over-application on finer leathers. Once you've found the right setting for your oil and leather combination, results are consistently repeatable.

No drips, no waste

The reservoir design means edge oil stays where it belongs: in the box and on the edge, not on your bench or the face of the leather. The brass body seals cleanly when not in use.

Easy to clean

Rinse with clean water while the oil is still wet. For dried or cured oil, use isopropyl alcohol and a small brush. Brass cleans up easily and won't stain or absorb dye.

How To Use It

Wet the leather edge with a damp cotton swab to raise the fibres slightly
Sand in one direction with coarse sandpaper to smooth the raw edge
Bevel the edge with a leather edge beveller to remove the sharp corners
Wet and sand again with a finer sandpaper for a clean, tight base
Add edge oil to the reservoir. Pour carefully; paper tape applied around the box sides prevents spills during this step
Glide the roller along the leather edge with light, even pressure, rolling back and forth until the edge is fully coated. The oil will naturally form a smooth arc as it soaks in
Allow to dry before adding additional coats if needed
Clean the tool immediately after use, before the oil dries
Pro tip: if you're switching between two colours of edge oil, fully clean the brass box first. Even a small amount of residual oil will affect the colour of the next application.
What You Can Make With It
This tool is used wherever you need a clean, finished leather edge: belts and watch straps, wallets and card holders, bags and tote handles, notebooks and journal covers, keyrings and small accessories, shoe edges and insoles, and custom leather goods of any kind.

Whether you're a beginner finishing your first belt or a professional leatherworker maintaining workshop efficiency, the roller gives you consistently better edges than any pen or swab applicator.
