★ WHY A NYLON MALLET
Leathercraft tools like stamps, prong chisels, and edge tools all rely on a controlled, even strike to work properly. A standard hardware hammer transfers too much shock and can crack a wooden tool handle or leave marks on the tool head itself over time.
A nylon mallet solves this. The dual nylon heads are firm enough to drive a stamp cleanly through leather, but forgiving enough that repeated striking does not damage your tools. It is the standard mallet type used across leathercraft, jewellery making, and other precision striking work where control matters more than raw force.

Dual nylon striking heads
Both ends of the head are nylon, so you always have a fresh striking surface if one side starts to show wear. The nylon is dense enough to deliver a solid, consistent strike without bouncing or deadening the blow.
Solid wood handle
The handle is turned from solid wood with a comfortable grip shape that narrows slightly in the centre for control. A metal cap sits at the base of the handle, adding balance and a touch of durability to the end most likely to knock against a workbench.
Steel collar construction
Where the nylon head meets the handle, a steel collar keeps everything secure through repeated impact. This is the same construction used in professional-grade leatherworking and jewellery mallets.
